What is the difference between ERP system and MES system in intelligent manufacturing ?

ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) is the English abbreviation for Enterprise Resource Planning. Generally, ERP includes distribution, manufacturing, and finance in enterprise applications. Therefore, the ERP system is a continuation of MRP (Manufacturing Resource Planning). More accurately, ERP is based on MRPII. At present, more are conceptual products, such as financial software plus importing, selling, and depositing to become ERP. In theory, ERP may involve modules: forecasting, order management, sales analysis, purchase management, warehouse management, inventory control, production planning (MPS), product data management (PDM), material requirement planning, capacity requirement planning (CRP) ), distribution demand planning (DRP), shop floor control (SFC), process operation management, quality management, salary management, human resources, etc. nearly 30 modules. ERP is essentially different from OA, and ERP tends to be business management. MES (Manufacturing Execution System)...

What is the MES system? What are the main functions of the MES system?

Manufacturing companies are concerned about three questions: what to produce? How much to produce? How to produce? The company's production plan answers the first two questions. "How to produce" is controlled by the process control system SFC at the production site. ERP, CRM, and other systems only provide data and information for the preparation of production plans. In order to make the "plan" reach the "production" link, how to quickly reflect the changing factors in the production process to the "plan", it is necessary to establish a "real-time information channel" between the plan and the production, the manufacturing execution system (MES) is the plan "Information hub" between production and production.   The benefits of implementing the MES system MES eliminates the information "fault" between enterprise planning and production control, enabling enterprises to "react in real-time."   Wi...

What is the MES system? 12 Important Questions Answered

What is MES system? MES is the execution layer between the planning layer and the on-site automation system. It is mainly responsible for workshop production management and scheduling execution. A well-designed MES system can integrate management functions such as production scheduling, product tracking, quality control, equipment failure analysis, network reporting, etc. on a unified platform. Using a unified database and connecting through the network can be used for the production department, quality inspection department, Process department, logistics department, etc. provide workshop management information services. The system helps companies implement complete closed-loop production by emphasizing the overall optimization of the manufacturing process, and assists companies in establishing an integrated and real-time ERP/MES/SFC information system. The main functions of the MES system: It provides flexible and powerful tools for enterprise production managers to monitor and m...

How to improve the software quality of C/C++ large-scale projects? Adopt these 15 ways .

How to ensure the quality of software projects, especially large and super large software projects, has always been an issue that many software companies have been paying attention to and researching whether at home or abroad.  Usually we will control and evaluate software quality in six parameters: functionality, usability, efficiency, testability, maintainability, and portability. 1.Functionality, that is, whether the software meets the customer's business requirements; 2. Usability is a measure of how much effort users need to use the software. Simple and easy-to-operate software is very important for customers. Take WeChat, which has the largest number of users in China, do you think its design is always It is so simple and easy to use that after so many years of use, its complexity has not increased a lot. The ...

What is the difference between a Set and a Map in Java?

Main differences between a Set and a Map in Java are: Duplicate Elements: A Set does not allow inserting duplicate elements. A Map does not allow using duplicate keys, but it allows inserting duplicate values for unique keys. Null values: A Set allows inserting maximum one null value. In a Map we can have single null key at most and any number of null values. Ordering: A Set does not maintain any order of elements. Some of sub-classes of a Set can sort the elements in an order like LinkedHashSet. A Map does not maintain any order of its elements. Some of its sub-classes like TreeMap store elements of the map in ascending order of keys.
